The City of Morro Bay will hold the second of two public workshops to solicit public comment on recommended revisions to the City's Sign Regulations. The first workshop took place on Thursday, September 29th from 9:00 .m. to noon. The workshop will continue and conclude with a second workshop on Thursday, October 6th also from 9:00 a.m. to noon.  Both workshops will be located at the Veteran’s Hall, located at 209 Surf Street, in Morro Bay.

Next time you are in the library, head into the John Kim Room to enjoy "Catch," on loan from the History Center of San Luis Obispo through November. "Catch" is a thoughtful display that highlights the fishing community in San Luis Obispo County in the 1970's. Explore the danger, sacrifice and passion of the fisherman's world. Morro Bay Police Department File

The following are highlights taken from hundreds of hours of work output of the Morro Bay Police Department's routine law enforcement, investigations, contacts and follow-ups; if you can call anything in law enforcement "routine." Events are listed to give you an idea of what is going on here on the "quiet" Central Coast.

During the week of September 10th to the 15th, the Morro Bay Police Department responded to 340 calls for service, made nine arrests, and generated 26 case reports. The primary charges for each arrest were as follows;
